With influences from Nancy Wilson to Sarah Vaughn, Camille delivers the goods, backed by a stellar jazz trio featuring pianist Al Quinn, upright bassist Bill McCrossen, and drummer Chris Roselli (who spent several years with the great jazz legend Sir Roland Hanna).
Several guest sax players join the trio as well.

From the opening vocal intro of 'Misty' to the grand finale of 'Since I Fell For You', vocalist Camille Filfiley gives new life to a bunch of classic standards.
Her improvisational approach recalls the work of Betty Carter and Carmen McRae, and the choice of material on this CD works well in that context.
The CD is also superbly recorded by veteran engineer Tommy Uzzo (who co-produced with Rick Suchow), particularly Bill McRossen's upright bass - which jumps out from the speakers and sounds like it's being played right in your living room; quite rare for a jazz recording like this.
Definitely a cutting edge performance by Camille and her group,
highly recommended.
